BLUE MOUNTAINS PROJECT

Australia is truly a land of wonders and mysteries. No matter where you go someone has a story to tell. Some stories are difficult to digest while some are outright bizarre. So you get your average run of the mill fellow who may hear a few stories.

How does he respond to it? Well, he'll probably just shrug it off and get on with life as he knows it. But then one day something happens to him, something extraordinary? Did he really see it or was it just a figment of his imagination? So he becomes curious and reads a few articles, watches a few documentaries. He may even join a group where people share similar stories and experiences. Then the penny drops: maybe there really is something out there ... maybe I should take it seriously! So he digs deeper and finds out to his surprise that many others had witnessed what he had seen.

You're probably wondering where all this is going. The truth is that there was such an individual who gave a group the final nudge to study and search for close encounters in the Blue Mountains. In fact a closer look revealed that a large number of sighting have occured in and around the mountains region over the years.

Within these reports, a small amount claim that strange objects (UFOs) were seen landing within the regions of the mountains. If these reports of
Close Encounters of the Second Kind are accurate, then we must consider the possibility that some form of physical trace evidence exists. These so called 'Nests' would provide bona fide evidence ... and that evidence (among others) is what RACE is anticipating to obtain.

What attracts these UFOs to the Blue Mountains is unknown. We know that the inhospitable terrain offers an isolated and impenetrable wilderness and that the Jamison and Burragorang Valley contains a major water source: Lake Burragorang. There are many accounts of UFOs interacting with water sources i.e. rivers, lakes, reservoirs etc for reasons we can only speculate. One thing is certain: the ideal environment is set for low profile activities.

Since 2002 RACE has been dogmatically studying the Blue Mountains anomalies. During this time, all the experiences has given the group further inspiration.

Despite its vast isolation its close proximity to Australia’s largest population may also be a draw card to these unidentified visitations. These covert exercises have drawn their attention to a number of researchers over the years. RACE expedition team members have gone and will continue to go beyond the threshold of limitations to purse the answers.
